Another High-rise Announced for Peachtree in Buckhead

New, 12 comments

Another day, another high-rise ... Mill Creek Residential has released renderings for their latest project, slated to rise on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, reports BuckheadView. With 400 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail space, the full project clocks in at half a million square feet. Located on the southern edge of Oliver McMillan's Buckhead Atlanta, the 22-story apartment building is just the latest high-rise to be announced for the neighborhood which, until recently, was dominated by single-story shopping centers.

The 1.1-acre site sits next door to the abandoned China Grand restaurant and Exxon station slated to be torn down for another new development. Last week the underground fuel tanks at the station were removed, signaling that that project may soon move forward as well.

Mill Creek Residential is having quite a year in the city; BuckheadView reports this project is their third to start development in 2015 alone.
