Any ranking of "The 10 Most Exciting Cities in America" that includes Richmond, Va. and not New York is suspect — unless it labels Atlanta more exciting than Las Vegas, in which case we'll take it! The expert city guides at Gogobot have indeed labeled Hotlanta the fifth most exciting place of the 200 most populous cities in the land, pitting ATL between bottom-dwelling New Orleans (No. 10) and questionable champion Orlando. While "exciting" is subjective by nature, the site's research did include logical categories such as hotels, restaurants and bars per capita. Atlanta especially shined on their restaurant gauge, notching more eating options per capita than all but two other cities.
