A Roswell developer is poised to build a batch of condos on Alpharetta's hottest corridor that will start in the $700,000s. Riding Avalon's high-rent-fetching coattails, Thor Development plans to offer four condo buildings, standing three stories each, just up Thompson Road from the Alpharetta mixed-use goliath. Price points for the condos, which will range between 2,500 and 5,000 square feet, jump swiftly from $700,000 to $1 million — and up to $2 million for penthouses, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Each rooftop will have majestic views of a courtyard, downtown Alpharetta and Avalon, and developers expect that some showboats "will buy a whole top floor because they'll have private access to the rooftop," as one official told the newspaper. The ambitious timeline calls for the project to break ground this spring and fill up with deep-pocketed suburbanites by this winter at the latest.
