Midtown Tower Signs 4 Chain Retailers, Including Taco Bell

New, 30 comments

Officials with University House Midtown, a swanky new student-housing development on Spring Street, enthusiastically announced the signing today of four national retailers that most college kids should be familiar with — and should have no trouble affording.

New retailers at the Spring Street tower's base will include Supercuts Hair Salon, Insomnia Cookies (a munchies-killing operation that actually delivers cookies), Twisted Kitchen (a fast-casual concept "with customer-designed pasta and noodle specialties") and that old undergrad staple, Taco Bell.

"We are thrilled to have secured such an excellent retail mix at University House Midtown," said leasing agent Matthew Stein of MSC University in a press release. "Tenants will serve residents in the building above and along Spring Street, as well as the larger Georgia Tech and Midtown communities." The signings mean just 2,196 square feet of University House retail space (of 9,000 total) is up for grabs, adjacent to Publix. And the news could make you wonder if all the interesting local proprietors have been spoken for by Ponce City Market and the like.

In any case, University House will soon have Nachos Bell Grande and a poolside Jumbotron.
