Buckhead Bakery Says 'Au Revoir' as Tower Plans Emerge

New, 11 comments

Last year it was announced that a large swath of Buckhead Village, including the East Andrews Entertainment District, would soon fall to the Buckhead building boom. That trend is continuing in 2016, with Alliance Residential presenting a tower on the site of Henri's Bakery, just one block off West Paces Ferry Road near Buckhead Triangle. The scheme, unveiled at the Neighborhood Planning Unit meeting, is moving through the process of variance approvals before construction can commence, according to BuckheadView.

Plans call for the brick 12-story building to rise 150 feet above the surrounding West Village neighborhood, filled with diminutive single-story shops and parking lots. The landscape is likely to quickly change in the coming years as other sites are developed. But in the meantime, 15,000 square feet of street retail and the surrounding shops will serve residents of these 275 units.

It sounds like these will be apartments, and thus not for sale.
