Buckhead Village’s latest development is a medical office tower

Building will rise on East Paces Ferry Road in heart of Village

A new medical office building may soon be rising in the rapidly changing Buckhead Village neighborhood.

According to BisNow, developer Loudermilk Companies has applied for permits to begin work on a nine-story tower snuggled between East Paces Ferry Road and Buckhead Avenue.

Expected to offer more than 100,000 square feet of high-end medical offices, the building will wrap a seven-story parking deck, which could potentially contain a whopping 600 parking spaces. The developer hopes to finish the building in the next year, a timeline that seems pretty ambitious.

Renderings show a minimalist black and white structure, contrasting earlier renderings that hinted at a more classical stone or brick facade.

Meanwhile, down the street, Loudermilk has also embarked on an overhaul of the old Aarons Building, converting it to loft offices. That building has been stripped to its steel frame, standing naked and skeletal over Buckhead Village.

While (The Shops) Buckhead Atlanta was a major milestone for the changing neighborhood, there’s clearly a lot more to come.
