Tricked-out Buckhead condo is gunning for $875,000

Enough white paint to make messy folks nervous

At the bricky Buckhead Village Lofts on Roswell Road, this expansive unit underwent a no-expenses-spared renovation this year resulting in what the listing describes as “modern luxury at its finest,” but it remains to be seen if the tactic will pay off.

It hasn’t thus far.

The recent gutting resulted in a bounty of top-shelf finishes and high-tech perks among these 2,255 square feet, which is comparable to a fairly large house. They include thick slabs of Italian marble, video monitoring, power shades, remotely controlled lights, a steam shower, intelligent thermostat system, and pro-grade kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Also, there’s no shortage of snazzy chandeliers.

It’s all bathed in an arctic palette that should help make occupants feel cooler (at least subliminally) during scorching Atlanta summers. But a few pieces of explosively colorful wall art probably wouldn’t hurt.

With a legit three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this place came on the market in late September at $949,000. It’s since been chopped to $875,000.

Still, the listing agent promises: “You won't find another condo with this level of finish at this price point!”

Something else to consider: The HOA fees are alternately listed online as being $1,022 yearly and monthly, which is obviously a huge difference. The former breaks down to $85 monthly. And that doesn’t seem logical for a pad of this size.
