At cusp of Piedmont Park, modern transformation finally fetches $890K

The highest sale in Midtown area since summer, observers say

Around the corner from Piedmont Park, this drastic reimagining of a 1920s bungalow had difficulties selling but set a recent benchmark in the end, industry observers tell Curbed Atlanta.

Listed in July at $985,000, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom overhaul by the firm Dencity boasted of a “Poliform masterpiece” kitchen—with Miele appliances, Sub-Zero built-in fridge, custom Piatta hood, and Dornbracht faucet—very sleek bathrooms, and the most artful carport in recent memory.

It’s all perched over busy Monroe Drive in Morningside-Lenox Park, with nearby direct access to the park.

Still, the listing underwent a $35,000 reduction in August before finally moving a few days before Thanksgiving.

According to Virgent Realty, the $890,000 final sales price marks the highest number achieved in what they describe as Midtown in the last three months.

Custom lighting spans the 2,599-square-foot house, and the white pallet will help electrify any artwork newcomers bring.
