$249K East Atlanta flip snatched in seconds flat

New, 15 comments

Contract came in a matter of hours, due south of EAV

This rejuvenated 1950s pad due south of the East Atlanta Village went under contract in a matter of hours this week.

How so?

Well, it offers a lot of things that large swaths of Atlanta homebuyers deem tasty bait: A few wooden wall accents. Expressway convenience. Three bedrooms but minimal square footage for easy upkeep. Stock photography of New York City.

It sold at $142,000 in late July and underwent a very quick flip and facelift, which added a wide-open kitchen, modernized back porch, and a surprisingly luxe master suite (with one of two full bathrooms). There’s a single-slot garage (but ample driveway for parking) and one giant backyard.

It listed Sunday at $249,900 and was spoken for by Monday.

With 1,226 square feet and a way-down-Moreland location, it doesn’t offer cavernous extra space or easy-breezy walkability, but clearly, that’s not always paramount.
