At 1010 Midtown building, this customized condo dazzles for $700K

Touted as “truly stunning world-class designer home”

Changing the DNA of high-rise properties in Atlanta can be risky business, but this corner unit at the well-positioned 1010 Midtown building has been modified into what the listing agent calls (accurately, it would appear) a “truly stunning world-class designer home.”

Let’s begin with the soaring 15-foot ceilings, a rarity outside of Buckhead foyers. Such airiness calls for huge banks of windows and daring light fixtures, which this two-bedroom, two-and-12 bathroom unit offers in abundance. The custom window treatments assist with privacy amid so many other towers.

Speaking of customizations, all 1,500 square feet seem to brim with upgrades, which include European cabinets and countertops, gourmet appliances by Bosch, 10-foot-tall doors (that’s gigantic), an audio-visual system, and what’s described as “craftsman tile work.” The towering built-in bookshelf in one bedroom is likely not original, either.

There’s a separate laundry/storage space and two parking slots. The ask is $699,900, with the option to buy all furnishings, too — at a substantially higher number, no doubt.

Finished in 2008, the building is comparatively dated, but the amenities (especially the huge pool with forever views) still are nothing to sneeze at. It’s had some issues retaining retailers and restaurants at its base, but in this cosmopolitan district, there’s still oodles of places to walk to.
