New Hotel to Fill Vacant Corner in Perimeter Center

New, 4 comments

Red-hot Perimeter Center will soon have one less vacant corner. Hotel Development Partners has unveiled plans for a new Residence Inn by Marriott on Ashford-Dunwoody Road in the Perimeter Center area of Dunwoody, where spaces to build are becoming fewer by the week. Plans call for a seven-story hotel to be built next to the Spruill Center for the Arts.

In addition to the hotel, a press release indicates that "internationally renowned" Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse and "several more" shops and restaurants are coming in the adjacent shopping center. And while the 128-room hotel sure won't win any design awards — it looks like your standard Residence Inn in Anywheresville, USA — its construction marks the spread of development beyond the core of Perimeter Center around Hammond Drive and Peachtree-Dunwoody Road.

Good thing there's MARTA nearby, though maybe not quite within walking distance for people unaccustomed to walking.
