Grant Henry of 'Church' Bar is Interested in Ansley Park Apartments

New, 5 comments

Will Sister Louisa buy and turn around this historic structure?

Grant Henry — aka Sister Louisa of the ever-cheeky Church of the Living Room and Ping Pong Emporium — has created one of Edgewood Avenue's most popular late-night hangouts and a duplicate in Athens. Now, the entrepreneur and artist has taken an interest in — of all things — recently for-sale Peachtree Circle Apartments in Ansley Park.

The Peachtree Circle Apartments were built in 1914 as the Woodberry Hall School for Girls. Though the building isn't a standout among Peachtree mansions, many people recently spoke out to make sure the building was preserved. Henry, for his part, is interested in turning the building into a boutique hotel and started doing a bit of digging while on vacation.

We contacted Henry, who was traveling today. More on this story when Sister Louisa returns from the Isla Mujeres (The Island of Women).
