Big Candler Park Bungalow: Yours for $639K

New, 5 comments

Home blends "historic features with modern upgrades" but hasn't been able to sell

According to the listing, this craftsman home in red-hot Candler Park (where it seems tough finding anything at all for sale these days) "blends historic features with modern upgrades." Notables: heart pine floors, three working fireplaces, two sets of pocket doors, and a claw-foot tub. It also features updated kitchens and bathrooms, an "immense master suite with incredible natural light," and a finished daylight basement. There's also (interestingly) a self-sustaining solar energy installation. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms and 3,704 square feet all for an asking price of $639,000. Makes you wonder why it hasn't been able to sell (it listed as high as $779,000 last June). Parking, the usual Candler Park culprit, is listed as "off street" and Google Maps seems to hint at a driveway.
