Inside Dallas Austin's $25K/Month Atlanta Rental House

New, 7 comments

It has 7,000 square feet, an infinity pool, and a history of Justin Bieber inhabitation

Atlanta powerhouse producer Dallas Austin once called his intergalactically modern Sandy Springs house the "Most magical place u can live in" on Instagram, and any renter who can pony up $25,000 per month can now experience that magic for lease terms of six months to a year. Listing photos prove this nearly 7,000-square-foot pad is an architectural and design marvel in ways good and questionable — mirrored ceilings and a room entirely coated in carpet, ceilings and all? — and the listing agent is probably on point in saying, "There is NOTHING else like it in Atlanta."

Records show Austin has owned this choice piece of ITP land — clearly visible from Northside Drive — since 1999 and built his four-bedroom modern manse in 2003. It has four bedrooms, a rooftop like a sleek pancake, an artful spiral staircase, and a massive patio abutting the infinity pool. By the look of things, the home survived its occupancy by Justin Bieber, who holed up here two years ago while recording an album in Atlanta — and terrifying Buckhead (wink wink) with threats of buying a mansion there.

The home originally listed for $20,000 per month last year but climbed after a few weeks. Logic says it will be a hit with A-listers filming in Atlanta. It's currently metro Atlanta's most expensive rental.

Austin's clients have included everyone from Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Lady Gaga to Kim Zolciak, lending credence to the agent's claim that the "modern masterpiece" has been "the temporary residence of many a celebrity and the backdrop of several well-known films." If these walls could talk.
