Swingin' Midcentury Pad in Buckhead Wants $1.2M

New, 9 comments

No shortage of beer-chilling options in here

Tucked off West Paces Ferry Road in the Kingswood section of Buckhead, this triangle-shaped, midcentury-modern pad could appeal to the buyer whose idea of bliss involves vaulted ceilings, backyard seclusion, and poolside martinis.

Sprawling across 4,258 square feet, the renovated 1958 relic listed about a month ago but is holding firm at $1.27 million. It clearly has good flow and enough old elements — stacked stone, glass block, shaggy carpet — to confirm it wasn't built yesterday. Or in, say, 2009.

There are four bedrooms (and room for more), a top-flight kitchen with Thermador and Viking brands and what looks like three places to chill beer. Which might come in handy with the social-centric pool area, with its hot tub and gazebo.

The only drawback here, for some, could be the curb appeal and facade. The easy fix for that would be to never leave.
