Modera Concept by Mill Creek spreads OTP

The fourth of its type proposed, the Modera brand is moving to the inner 'burbs

Not too long ago, "SkyHouse" seemed to be trending toward ubiquity in the Atlanta multifamily scene, with the construction of three towers by Novare bearing the branding. But now, Mill Creek Residential is bringing serious competition.

Construction has begun on a new Modera mixed-use project in Sandy Springs, across Roswell Road from the city's new mixed-use center City Springs. Mill Creek recently completed a similar project on Piedmont Road, known as Modera Morningside, and has two high-rise versions proposed; one in Midtown overlooking The Connector (under construction) and another in Buckhead, just south of The Shops Buckhead Atlanta.

The Sandy Springs project is one of many, many poised for development along Roswell Road. According to a press release, the project is slated to bring 340 luxury apartments (these days, is there really any other type?) and 25,000 square feet of retail space to a former strip center and parking lot.

Apartments are supposed to start leasing in spring 2017, and will be just steps away from the city's new performing arts center, also expected to be completed in early 2017.
