Chamblee Mixed-Use Project Starts Construction

Parkview on Peachtree will bring high-end residences and retail space to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, near Chamblee MARTA Station

Following a groundbreaking last week, construction has officially launched on the rather large Parkview on Peachtree project.

The ITP venture is just one of a few high-end, mixed-use developments to spring up along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Chamblee.

Billed as a transit-oriented development — thanks to its half-mile proximity to Chamblee MARTA station, accessed via a trail and pedestrian tunnel under Peachtree Industrial Boulevard — the project will provide more than 500 housing units, 40,000 square feet of boutique retail, and 14,000 square feet of office space.

Designed by Cooper Carry, the project is being developed by CONNOLLY in affiliation with Spruce Street Partners and Terwilliger Pappas.

While plans have been in the works for year, site work didn't start until September of last year with the demolition of a warehouse on the site. According to a press release, the first phase should open in 2017.
