The Modera brand's takeover of metro Atlanta continues. Developer Mill Creek is planning a fifth incarnation of the mixed-use development, but this time across what some perceive as enemy lines.
The latest mid-rise venture will be located in Cobb County, in the weird overlapping confines of Cumberland and Vinings. Plans call for 269 luxury units in a seven-story building, overlooking a pond and the Silver Comet Trail along Cumberland Boulevard.
Designed by Lord Aeck Sargent, the building echos the previously revealed apartment developments of the brand, while having a unique look, thanks to the orientation of the 3.5-acre site.
Mill Creek just wrapped work on Modera Morningside on Piedmont Road, and has entered construction on Modera Sandy Springs, across from the city's under-construction downtown precinct known as Sandy Springs. With at least two more projects in the pipeline — including the Midtown version that's several stories out of the ground — the "Modera" concept is clearly going strong.
Construction in Cobb is beginning now, with delivery expected by fall of next year.
