Riverside Home by Noted Architect is Super Streamlined in Buckhead

New, 14 comments

Designed by Joe Amisano, the home features plenty of space for entertaining

For lovers of modern architectural history, a newly listed Buckhead home nestled on a wooded two-acre lot along the Chattahoochee may be the perfect place.

A later work by noted Atlanta modernist Joe Amisano — the architect behind Lenox Square and the Woodruff Arts Center — the home trends toward the postmodern, eschewing some of the midcentury characteristics of his Mad Men-esque Skyhaven.

With large living areas flooded with light from floor-to-ceiling windows, the home is an inviting, if not slightly idiosyncratic place designed for entertaining.

While the living spaces are large, the four bedrooms and four bathrooms aren't all that big, considering the 4,900 square feet. But for those with a taste for modern design and relatively deep pockets, the $895,000 price tag may mean these digs are the perfect place.
