Old Fourth Ward Modern has PCM Proximity, $849K Price

New, 10 comments

Putt-Putt, anyone?

Up the hill from Historic Fourth Ward Park, this under-construction modern house might vaguely resemble a virtual reality headset, but for big-budget buyers, its perks go beyond the prime location.

For starters, there’s a rooftop deck with enough faux grass and sheer space for a Putt-Putt course. Almost literally. Plus what looks like a covered flex space next to the stairwell.

Elsewhere, it’s a work-in-progress, but plans call for four bedrooms, four and 1/2 bathrooms, and the contemporary features one would expect — chef’s kitchen, spa bath, high ceilings, and sleekness in spades. More unique perks include a bonus office room and a two-car, drive-under garage with enough room for a workshop or, like, 10 bikes.

With 2,845 square feet, it’s certainly spacious, but not a modern monster. Its around-the-corner proximity to the park, Beltline, Ponce City Market (and the Masquerade’s future retail replacement) is practically invaluable, but recent listings in the $800,000 neighborhood have been tough sells in O4W.

This one costs $849,900.
