Buckhead MCM For Sale Again With Few Changes Other than Price

New, 10 comments

Home with cool roofline in Margaret Mitchell neighborhood back on the market

Less than three years ago, this midcentury modern in the Margaret Mitchell neighborhood was on the market at $799,000; now, with seemingly few changes other than some new furniture and fixtures (judging from the photos), the 1967 renovation is for sale again at $899,000.

So goes the Atlanta market.

Featuring a groovy, line-graph roofline that catches the eye, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home has 3,448 square feet. It sits on a more than half-acre lot in the forested Buckhead neighborhood near Interstate 75.

The midcentury-ness has largely been purged from the interior, with the exception of angular windows and vaulted ceilings.

The current listing touts the kitchen’s all-wood cabinets, high-end appliances, walk-in pantry, granite island, and butler’s pantry. Also noted: the family room with fireplace, and master suite with his and her closets, double showers and vanity. There’s also an embedded speaker system.

All or most of this stuff seems to have been included in the previous listing, other than the extra 100 grand.
