With its rocking-chair porch and faux-vintage vibes, this newly built traditional in Kirkwood apparently struck a chord with Hotlanta homebuyers.
Despite the barely dry paint, this wide-open, five-bedroom residence listed Thursday at $650,000 and was under contract by the other side of the weekend, according to Zillow.
It has a classic bent, with arched doorways, traditional tile work, built-in bookcases, and moldings aplenty — plus a rustic barn door and upstairs peek-a-boo window for good measure. The outdoor spaces (including an ample back deck) are loaded with ceilings fans, which recent weeks have reminded us are crucial.
Collectively, these 2,783 square feet seem roomy but hardly qualify for McMansion status. And like roughly 98 percent of new and remodeled Atlanta homes these days, it’s an exercise in gray-white-gray.
