Bound for Old Fourth Ward: 24 Relatively Affordable Townhomes?

New, 8 comments

It’s very early, but forecast calls for units in the $300Ks south of Edgewood Avenue

The southern reaches of Old Fourth Ward are in for a relatively heaping helping of townhomes.

Officials with Epic Development today announced a project called four15 Stacks that aims to build 24 new townhomes on a vacant Gartrell Street lot, between the Edgewood nightlife district and MARTA’s King Memorial station.

Prices will start in the $300,000s.

It’s too early for renderings, a timeline, or more specific pricing details, but here’s the pitch:

"Modern luxury in one of Atlanta’s hottest neighborhoods; four15 is one of the top new developments in the Old Fourth Ward. Enjoy an active intown lifestyle with dining, nightlife, shopping, Beltline access and MARTA rail just two blocks from your front door."

Elsewhere in O4W, Epic completed the 10-unit Water Tower Stacks — a veritable empty-nester magnet — near Krog Street Market this year.

The new venture will join others in the south-of-Edgewood section of Old Fourth Ward, including the pricier The Edge on Lucy Street townhomes, which recently finished.

Here’s the four15 Stacks site as of March:
