Name, Renderings Revealed for Buckhead Peachtree Tower

Billed as “The Sutton,” the building will feature 141 residential units and a lot of high-end amenities

New renderings have emerged for a long-anticipated residential tower project on Peachtree Road in Buckhead.

The Sutton will rise on the site of a former gas station and Chinese restaurant, just south of OliverMcMillan’s The Shops Buckhead Atlanta project. The renderings, revealed by Reese Vanderbilt Associates — the architecture firm behind the project — come after more than seven months of silence on the tower's status.

According to the project website, Buckhead development-watchers can expect 141 luxury two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 1,600 to more than 2,000 square feet, each featuring a private terrace.

Amenities will include a resident coffee bar, business center, guest suite, club room, fitness room, and rooftop deck with a pool, outdoor kitchen, and views of the Midtown and downtown skylines. Preserve Properties will spend an estimated $60 million to construct the building.

While plans originally called for units to be marketed as apartments, the project's website leaves the rental vs. purchase debate open for discussion. With several new condo projects being announced across Atlanta, it wouldn’t be that surprising to see the building follow the for-sale trend.
