ITP Atlanta Not Safe Enough to Make Top 10 List

New, 36 comments

Study is based on rates of assault, murder, robbery, theft. Apparently, nothing ITP qualifies

A data-based list has recently emerged that ranks the top 10 "safest" areas in metro Atlanta, and guess what? Not one single ITP neighborhood made the cut.

Much has been written lately about general crime trends in the city proper pointing down, so the rankings could be disheartening for intown zealots wanting to boast of safety on par with, say, Lilburn or Jonesboro.

Comparing communities based on rates of assault, murder, robbery, burglary, vehicle theft, and larceny, the recently published article by Atlanta Agent Magazine used data from neighborhood rating website Niche, which analyzed information from the FBI and the most recent U.S. Census.

Places that made the list: Ball Ground, Milton, Senoia, Flowery Branch, Johns Creek, Tyrone, Peachtree City, Grantville, Holly Springs, and Chattahoochee Hills.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t safe ITP communities, though (duh). This posting from Rent Cafe, for instance, lists locations within the perimeter also based on similar safety attributes (with few surprises).

At the top of the Rent Cafe list: North Druid Hills, Spring Lake, Ardmore, West Paces Ferry, Mt. Paran, East Chastain Park, Tuxedo Park, and Lenox.
