Modern Townhomes Rising Across from Edgewood MARTA Station

Five-building project is consuming a kudzu paradise

The urbanization of Edgewood continues.

Across the street from the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA Station, where surface parking lots will be converted into a mixed-use and transit-oriented community, a crop of residences billed as "brand new modern-chic townhomes in the heart of Candler Park/Edgewood" is moving forward.

The five-building project is consuming a deep lot on LaFrance Street. Renderings suggest the buildings will be three stories each with multiple outdoor spaces and drive-under garages. A new sidewalk will flank the residences.

The 1-acre lot, approved for 18 townhomes, sold for $714,500 in December, records show.

Officials with Cablik Enterprises, the developer, have not returned inquiries about pricing and a timeline, but a recent visit showed that site work is well underway.
