With just over two months left of Braves baseball at Turner Field (there’s really no question about the Braves' postseason), a lot of questions remain about The Ted’s fate come this fall and beyond.
Potential plans have been floating around for months, following the announcement that the land would be turned over to a partnership of Georgia State University and developer Carter. However, things got a little more interesting this week with the release of the Livable Centers Initiative report, showing renderings, maps, and loads of information about the project, prepared by Perkins+Will.
While the renderings and drawings are merely hypothetical views of the development, they begin to offer a sense of just how transformative the project can be for the neighborhood — and for the city's southside in general.
It'll be interesting to see what comes after the last strike at The Ted. Home prices in the vicinity and new investments such these modern (and quick-selling) townhomes suggest that many expect the redevelopment to be a home run.
