Pad on Harvard will offer luxury amenities minutes from downtown and the airport

Luxury apartments are popping up across the city, bringing unbelievable amenities to those who can afford to dish out a small fortune each month. But a new (and slightly more affordable) option is slated to open soon for renters who don't mind venturing a little south.

Pad on Harvard in College Park has extended the luxury rental trend to the city’s southside, and with the move below downtown, the prices have come down too. Two-bedroom units will start at $1,525 a month, while studios will go for just over $1,000.

Those rates aren't chicken feed, but they represent a discount over brand-new product in most intown areas.

BisNow reports the 109-unit project has celebrated its topping out, with 75,000 square feet of offices planned in the next phase of development.

With a rooftop sky-lounge, bar area and catering space, gaming lounge, and fitness center, there’s no shortage of amenities. And each unit will have Google Fiber connectivity and built-in Nest thermostat systems.

Located adjacent to MARTA, the development is a 10-minute ride into downtown, or an enviable one-stop trip to the airport.
