West of Midtown, this Berkeley Park modern is offered at $689K

If Atlanta's new housing stock is any indication, this 2,431-square-foot contemporary was rather prescient

Based on how it looks today, this 2,431-square-foot Berkeley Park modern may have been ahead of the game when its architect designed it in 2001.

Looking relatively current for having been built 15 years ago, it sits among a whole vein of homes in this neighborhood with a similar style. Considering the style of new contemporary houses popping up from Old Fourth Ward to East Lake and beyond, these homes can seem rather prescient.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom contemporary has a two-story great room with floor-to-ceiling windows; open kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances; a screened porch and rooftop patio with a hot tub, and two-car garage.

In the current listing, photos of the great room are weirdly in short supply — other than a couple close-up shots from certain angles. Older photos shot by MLS (with a different, bolder interior design), however, offer another glimpse. And show a fireplace. The older photos are included toward the end of the gallery.
