Speaking in terms of safety, two Atlanta cities Inside The Perimeter stand above the rest, according to a recently published article by research and analysis site ValuePenguin.
Weighing all cities in Georgia based on the most recent FBI crime statistics available, the list included all the usual suspects from Outside The Perimeter: Johns Creek, Flowery Branch, Milton, and such.
But, when breaking cities down by population size, Decatur and Brookhaven respectively made the cut as mid-size and large municipalities with low numbers of property and violent crimes.
The raw data report from the FBI — which the website fully based its list upon — defined property crimes as burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Violent crimes included manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
"The takeaway from this research was that there was no typical safe city in Georgia," the article states. "Some of the safest cities had affluent, highly educated populations and others were more middle-class."
Hmm, that's interesting.
Anyhow, if any of this sounds familiar, it could be because another publication recently picked up on similar information, though it didn’t include one single ITP neighborhood.
