Could be the quintessential style of under-the-radar Dupont Commons

Tucked away near Crest Lawn Cemetery and Nuevo Laredo Cantina, west of both Midtown and lower Buckhead, that under-the-radar community of Dupont Commons still offers legitimate intown houses for way below the half-million mark — a rarity nowadays when solid schools are part of the package, too.

This three-bedroom example from 2011 is in a cottage style the listing agent says is rarely available. Beyond the pretty front yard and cozy, social porch, there’s 1,800 square feet of a sufficiently nice place, with highlights that include hardwoods, a mudroom, two-car garage, and Buckhead schools.

Long before they were The Masquerade’s nemesis, Brock Built was erecting homes in this flank of Atlanta by the hundreds. Dupont Commons sold out from the $300,000s around 2012.

The developer’s website paints an idyllic picture of Dupont Commons, where "your lifestyle includes tree-lined streets, panoramic views, parks, pavilions, swimming pool, fire pit, grills, playground, exercise facility, and an award-winning clubhouse."

It doesn’t mention the community’s 10 Walk Score, however. But at price points like these, in this day and age, there will be trade-offs.
