Studioplex, the warehouse-turned-live-work space adjacent to the Beltline's Eastside Trail in Old Fourth Ward, is ramping up development.
Atlanta INtown reports that plans are in motion to add 19 three-story townhomes, perched atop restaurant and retail space fronting the Beltline. The accompanying rendering shows glassy units that fuse modern and traditional style and feature plenty of balcony space and rooftop terraces.
The news follows an announcement last month that heralded the construction of a 140-room boutique hotel elsewhere on the site. Slated to feature a rooftop bar, "European-style piazza," film screening room, and two restaurants, the seven-story Beltline-fronting hotel was initially supposed to open by the end of summer next year.
Finally, a third Studioplex phase is slated to bring condos atop office space to the Edgewood Avenue side of the development. No news on the timeline for that project.
In the meantime, expansion work continues on Studioplex's parking deck to accommodate the added spaces.
