Those skeptical of the high-end multifamily real estate market's vitality in Atlanta need look no further than the most recent sale at the Loews Hotel Residences for anecdotal evidence that things are a-okay.
The building — converted from apartments earlier this year — now claims the highest one-bedroom sale in Atlanta history.
Agent Christa Huffstickler, a vice president with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, tells Curbed Atlanta that Unit 3701 recently closed for an even $750,000.
The one-bedroom, one-and-1/2-bathroom unit — with a massive balcony, high-end finishes, and more than 1,200 square feet — broke the watermark recently set by the previous title holder in downtown’s W Residences by $45,000. That building also was recently home to the most expensive condo sale outside of Buckhead.
The new owner will enjoy custom cabinetry, Thermador and Sub-Zero appliances, and hand-scraped Brazilian oak flooring.
HOA fees on top of the monthly mortgage ring in at $778, affording the owner use of hotel amenities, a private lounge, and a heated rooftop pool.
