Listed at $1.6M, this 1950s Atlanta ranch bags buyer in no time

Jazzed-up property offers “exceptional views of golfers”

The rarity of an available big lot overlooking Ansley Country Club apparently has special allure, because this jazzed-up 1950s ranch went under contract in just a few days this month — a relative millisecond for an Atlanta house listed at $1.65 million.

The five-bedroom property is touted as one of the largest ranches ever built in Sherwood Forest (5,240 square feet), offering "exceptional views of golfers teeing off on the 7th hole," which for some people is a good thing.

Anyone could agree with the awesomeness of the numerous outdoor lounging options off the back, while the larger interior social spaces could lean a little minimal for some tastes. But even the laundry room has tricked-out custom cabinetry, and one shower boasts what looks like the mother of all rainfall shower-heads.

While understated, the palm-studded exterior hints at the chances taken within. It doesn’t look much like 1954 around here anymore.
