531 options for living at the doorstep of SunTrust Park — and the Cobb Cloverleaf

The baseball era for Turner Field will come to an end this weekend, just as the Atlanta Braves’ future as a multifamily residential amenity is dawning.

Developer Pollack Shores has lifted the veil on "Home at the Battery Atlanta," three distinct apartment properties — The Residences, Parkside, and The Flats — where officials believe balcony tailgating will be all the rage next year.

Anchored by SunTrust Park, the apartment ventures will offer a total of 531 units. In an announcement today, officials debuted the Home website and announced that pre-leasing begins in December, with residents (presumably fans of the Braves and restaurants such as Superica) expected to move in by March, not coincidentally in time for first pitch 2017.

Expect one and two-bedroom floorplans only, all offered with a choice of three "contemporary designer finish palettes." Special events will happen at each property on Bravos’ game days. No word yet on rents.

Steven Shores, Pollack Shores president and cofounder, called The Battery living experience "energized" and the shopping and entertainment options "unmatched" in a press release, adding, "We’ve created this unique opportunity to not only tailgate from your patio, but also enjoy other qualities residents look for like walking and biking trails and easy access to major highways."

The developer previews each specific rental property as follows:

Parkside will feature 211 residences on the main street in the heart of The Battery Atlanta and directly adjacent to SunTrust Park’s central plaza. Parkside will offer residents access to an exclusive clubhouse with unmatched views of the ballpark, a modern pool with sun shelf and lounge seating and a stately lounge and entertainment center featuring billiards and shuffleboard.

The Residences include 81 expansive, sophisticated apartments overlooking the terrace and streetscape in the epicenter of The Battery Atlanta. Residents can enjoy a rooftop bar and lounge with a TV gallery and wrap-around balcony with views of SunTrust Park.

The Flats include 239 residences located in the shopping district of The Battery Atlanta just steps away from upscale shopping and dining experiences. At The Flats, residents have access to a modern pool and clubhouse featuring an entertainment center with a viewing bar, billiards, a gourmet kitchen, a fireplace, and a cyber café.

Beyond the ballpark and apartments, The Battery Atlanta will feature an Omni Hotel, The Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre, Comcast’s regional headquarters, a bevy of restaurants, and more than 700,000 square feet of retail and office space.

Oh, and this, per the release:

"A pedestrian bridge will connect The Battery Atlanta to nearby Cobb Galleria, and the property sits at the corner of Interstates 75 and 285, allowing for easy access to and from anywhere in Atlanta."
