Upgraded $450K Midtown Atlanta condo lands contract in a flash

So the market’s THAT hungry for sub-$500K high-rise condos?

A condo in Midtown Atlanta with great views.
Hello, downtown.
Above Atlanta

Midtown’s high-rise condos are a hot commodity these days, especially when they list beneath the half-million-dollar threshold with enticing on-site amenities.

For anecdotal proof, look no further than this upper-floor unit at the 36-story ViewPoint tower, which listed at $450,000 late last week and was under contract by this morning.

It counts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a double-dose of balconies for views that stretch from the Georgia Dome to Old Fourth Ward and beyond. (It might be high enough, and set far enough away, that the under-construction EVIVA Peachtree tower won’t play spoiler here).

ViewPoint debuted in 2008, and certain aspects of the condo (the thick-framed shower surrounds, primarily) harken that era. It spans 1,121 square feet and requires $527 monthly HOA commitments.

Beyond the 93 WalkScore location, highlights include customized, power solar shades throughout the home, built-in surround sound, and windows that could hardly be more floor-to-ceiling.

The amenities (and especially the pool deck) look basically as snazzy as they were back in 2009, when listing agents were all but begging folks to buy here.
