Atlanta is set to get a little more fabulous this week as the city celebrates Pride.

For the 47th year running, Atlanta Pride will celebrate diversity in the city with an array of events throughout Midtown, culminating in the annual Pride Parade on Sunday.

Smaller events, including an “Out in the Workplace” networking mixer, sponsored by the Metro Atlanta Association of Professionals, will go down during the week.

Then, things will ramp into high gear on Friday, with the official Kickoff Party at the Georgia Aquarium. Tickets to the event are available online.

On Saturday, options will abound in Piedmont Park throughout the day. Events include an art exhibition, car show, comedy showcase, and even a display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Finally, Peachtree Street in Midtown will come alive on Sunday at noon as the Atlanta Pride Parade makes its way northward from Ralph McGill Boulevard to 10th Street and onward to Piedmont Park.

With weather forecasts looking rain-free for the weekend, expect a big turnout along Peachtree.
