Midtown, Piedmont Park glow with Pride during Atlanta’s annual festival

Countless revelers took to the streets at noon Sunday to celebrate Pride in Atlanta.

The 47th annual Pride Parade rolled from Ivan Allen Boulevard in downtown, up Peachtree Street through the heart of Midtown, and then right on 10th Street to Piedmont Park.

Floats, bands, and thousands of marchers representing Atlanta companies made up the nearly three-hour long parade.

Celebrations continued in Piedmont Park, with live music, vendors, and plenty of food and drinks. The parade capped off an event-filled weekend, featuring a massive party at the Georgia Aquarium, an art exhibition, car show, comedy showcase, and even a display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt.
