Old Fourth Ward has had an amazing run in recent years as the neighborhood has reaped the benefits of the Eastside Beltline Trail, Ponce City Market, and Historic Fourth Ward Park.

Now, HotSpot Rentals has recognized the area as one of the 25 Hottest Neighborhoods in America. Coming in at number nine, Old Fourth Ward beat out neighborhoods from Chicago to New Orleans and Los Angeles to Boston.

The rankings are based upon an array of metrics, including walkability and transit access, cost of living, quality of life, and weather.

Old Fourth Ward garnered high marks in walkability—with great amenities including Krog Street Market and Ponce City Market a quick trek down the Beltline—and weather. The neighborhood scored in the middle of the road in terms of affordability, with taxes and rental rates weighing the district down.

Surprisingly, the neighborhood earned just 63 (out of 100) points for entertainment options and just 61 points for lifestyle. But with more amenities on the way—among them Fetch, a dog park meets beer garden concept—expect the neighborhood to only get better in the coming years.
