$2.3M Buckhead modern lingers on market despite sleekness, size, discount

Five-bedroom contemporary on tony West Wesley Road hasn’t snagged a buyer since September.

Two-million dollar curb appeal?

Described as a commercial-grade modern dwelling with ceilings that soar up to 26 feet, this Buckhead new-construction is an inhabitable statement piece in many ways.

Yet despite a $90,000 price-slice before Halloween, it’s had trouble landing a buyer for nearly three months now.

Tucked away on prestigious West Wesley Road, a few lots east of Interstate 75, the home (designer/builder unspecified) was built this year, per the listing, though at least two rooms appear to have been legitimately inhabited. Unless, that is, the staging is as lackluster as the listing photos.

In terms of windows, there’s no shortage of geometric variety, and with almost 5,500 square feet and five bedrooms, the property offers beyond ample room to roam.

Still, with a current ask of $2,299,000, the breakdown clocks in at more than $420 per square foot.

The highlight could be the kitchen, where the waterfall island (presumably of marble) seats six, cabinetry soars to impossible heights, and the appliances, wine cooler, and coffeemaker all carry the Miele name.

Other cool perks are found at the entry (an eight-foot pivot door of solid wood) and exit (a folding-glass NanaWall, which opens to a backyard screaming for a pool).

The listing insists there’s “too many other features to list” here, which could bode well for this unique property, as asking prices north of $2 million can be hard bargains in Atlanta.
