Four-level contemporary makes an argument for virtual staging

Sheer space, a soiree-ready rooftop terrace, and furniture that doesn’t exist was apparently a winning combination for this tall white modern on Atlanta’s eastside.

This contemporary new-build calls home the Parkview neighborhood of DeKalb County, which is separated from Kirkwood by Memorial Drive and is experiencing a surge of new housing stock with modern leanings.

Described as an “amazing modern [with] the highest quality finishes available,” this $564,900, four-bedroom property touts a beyond-generous 3,456 square feet and a two-car garage.

And there’s no shortage of virtually staged listing photos here, which must beat hauling in actual couches and that massage table.

Records indicate a sale may have fallen apart here in the past few weeks, but the property was snatched within three days of re-listing last week.

Perks include the Italian Carrara marble kitchen island, the multitude of decks, and energy-saving measures the listing describes as “cell foam hybrid insulation” and “advanced Low-E Insulating glass windows.”

That rooftop overlooks hole No. 3 at Charlie Yates Golf Course and an under-construction, 62-unit townhouse venture called “The Moderns at Sugar Creek Mill,” where prices will range from “workforce”-friendly mid-$200,000s to more than $450,000.

Across the street in Kirkwood, comparably sized new houses have sold in recent months for more than $100,000 higher.

The lot’s predecessor last year.
