Ormewood Park offering name-drops Frank Lloyd Wright, seeks $619K

Newly built Prairie-style property stands off Moreland Avenue

A prairie-style new home in Atlanta’s Ormewood Park neighborhood.
Hardly a window shortage here.
Keller Williams Intown Realty

Frank Lloyd Wright references aren’t as common as they used to be in the world of Atlanta real estate hyperbole, but they do exist.

Proof: This new construction at the eastern edge of leafy Ormewood Park, which is described as being in the American Master’s style (see: oversized eaves, an interesting geometry of windows). It’s also called a sleek, stylish, and gorgeous home “with a soft modern palette to appeal to your inner zen.”

With four bedrooms and three and 12 bathrooms spread among a long, lean floorplan, it stands across Moreland Avenue from Hodgepodge Coffee, within strolling distance of East Atlanta Village and Brownwood Park.

Clocking in at 2,266 square feet, the property isn’t particularly huge for a new-build, but it doesn’t appear that builders cut many corners, what with the custom stair railings, built-out master closet, nonstandard windows, and eye-catching tiling choices.

The freestanding, wood-paneled mini wall near the entrance also appears to be custom.

Other perks include the two-car garage, quartz waterfall island, and the kitchen’s seamless flow to the side deck.

The listing description concludes with, “It's a 10!” Time will tell if buyers agree.
