DeKalb Avenue, that east-west commuter racetrack between downtown and Decatur, has long been a hotbed of townhomes in contemporary and more brick-heavy traditional styles.

That trend continues with a pocket of tri-level townhouses in the modern vein in Lake Claire, rising at a location marketed as almost equidistant to Little Five Points and Decatur.

Fittingly, the eight-home project is called “The Rooftops at Lake Claire,” and the last unit that isn’t spoken for in Phase One—a short stretch of three or four townhomes fronting DeKalb Avenue—has reached the market at $555,000. Estimated completion: June.

With three bedrooms and 2,067 square feet, this looks to be the smallest option at The Rooftops, which makes the monthly HOA a more manageable $165.

Conversely, the largest offerings here will have about 500 more square feet, with more than 700 square feet of elbow room outdoors.

Perks in all homes include five-inch plank flooring, two-car garages, and rooftop decks described simply as “not to be missed.”

Overall, the project’s in the same rooftop-touting vein as “The Views at Clifton,” a significantly cheaper townhome cluster elsewhere on DeKalb Avenue that quickly sold out last year.

And now for a novel idea: handy visuals provided with the listing that detail all finishes:
