Infamous Atlanta developer Jeff Fuqua is prepping for development of a large, long-vacant site at the western edge of Atlantic Station.
According to Bisnow, plans call for a major mixed-use development anchored by a large Kroger grocery store.
The 12.5-acre site would host a mix of retail and office space, across the street from IKEA. The Ardent Cos. would serve as partner in the deal.
When the development was first proposed a few years ago, a substantial amount of multifamily development was pitched.

However, that component has been scrapped in favor of more office and retail space, including a self-storage facility.
The addition continues an irritating intown trend of storage facilities on prime sites.
Fuqua and Kroger are mum about plans and a timeline for the project. However, with plans filed with the city, development could start sometime later this year.
