Where Cheshire Bridge Road passes under Interstate 85, a new high-end residential project—Helios Apartments—is making the final push before opening.

The five-story apartment development by Bluerock Residential was billed as a “condominium quality” project when first unveiled back in 2015 by Bisnow.

The building represents the broader, changing landscape of Cheshire Bridge.

A corridor once known pretty much exclusively for strip clubs and head shops, the road is quickly transforming with new high-end rentals that are wiping clean the less-wholesome vestiges. South of the Helios project, Accent is building two developments with more than 450 apartment units

Slated to open later this spring, Helios features one- and two-bedroom floorplans with prices climbing to more than $2,100 per month.

The amenity-packed building includes spaces like an entertainment cafe with “immersive media and gaming,” a rooftop terrace with skyline views, a saltwater pool, and a two-story fitness complex.

Snuggled between Midtown and Buckhead (and basically underneath the I-85 overpass) the building is located alongside the Cheshire Farm Trail, which snakes beneath the interstate.

Walking or biking may be the best option for the building’s very first residents, as traffic on Cheshire Bridge Road is pretty horrendous since the I-85 bridge collapse forced the road into service as the main detour around the gap.
