Gardens galore just east of Interstate 75

Girded by palms, this 4,000-square-foot contemporary from 1930 feels a little Golden Age of Hollywood inside, with a dash of Art Deco.

In Atlanta’s hotbed of million-dollar properties, Buckhead, this one is “truly unique,” as the listing says.

Whether it’s “a work of art,” as the listing also says, is a tougher call, though there’s no denying this place has old soul to spare.

Tucked off tony West Wesley Road, just east of Interstate 75, the lush property spans almost an acre for max privacy. The infinity pool and spa layout looks absolutely heavenly, provided you don’t personally have to maintain such things in the middle of a forest.

Other perks include a number of sunny terraces, the two-Maserati garage and ample autocourt for hosting parties, and wintertime skyline views from the master suite.

Perplexingly, for $1.59 million and so much space, the home manages just three bedrooms (large ones) and three and 12 bathrooms. It does offer a cozy den and not shortage of spaces for lounging around.

Good luck finding another kitchen that looks like that in Atlanta, for better or worse.
