As Buckhead’s tallest tower, Sovereign is a distinctive sweeping figure in the Atlanta skyline, but if developer Regent Partners has its way, the tower could soon be joined by an equally curvaceous twin.

Bisnow reports that construction could begin on a second Sovereign-esque tower at the edge of Ga. Highway 400 next year. Located immediately behind Capital City Plaza, the high-rise would be a commanding presence on the Buckhead skyline.

The 45-story building would, like its predecessor, contain offices in the base and condo units on the top floors.

When announced last year, the project was estimated to cost upwards of $400 million. With office rents skyrocketing, such a major investment could soon be feasible.

If previously listed condo units in Sovereign—like Unit 4201, which went on the market for more than $3 million (see below)—are any indication, there’s money to be made on the residential side as well.
