Ormewood Park’s latest modern farmhouse wants to wrangle $480K

There’s a lot to like inside and out of this four-bedroom, three-bath house, constructed this year.

This latest addition to Ormewood Park’s modern-farmhouse cannon presents quite the pretty picture from the street. The landscaped yard and covered front porch provide a welcoming charm to the house as well. Especially for those who dig dual-colored facades.

Inside the not-huge, 2,032-square-foot home, the open floorplan and gray palette create a thoroughly modern backdrop that hopefully will be warmed up with some color by way of the future homeowner’s furnishings and artwork.

Behind the house, a rather disappointing deck provides space for family gatherings and outdoor entertaining. Although it’s a good start, the deck actually appears incomplete; perhaps the future buyer will take on the project and actually build this piece out so it’ll do the house justice.

Also out back, a parking pad is accessible via a gravel driveway leading in from the back alley. Like the deck, it’s a bit underwhelming, but it definitely beats street parking.

The location could be sticking point. While it’s just a mile from East Atlanta Village, the home also sits on busy Moreland Avenue.

The current asking price of $479,900—although not out of line for the neighborhood—recently underwent a $10,000 price cut. Could it be the impetus needed to move this farmhouse off the market?
