Despite location, price cuts, ‘charming bungalow’ in East Atlanta lingers at $350K

Built in 1948 and “drenched in gorgeous character,” this three-bedroom home can’t seem to attract deals.

With three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,404 square feet, this 1948 East Atlanta bungalow is pretty small, but there’s a lot to like in this compact package.

Renovated just four years ago, the house has several attractive features, like the stacked stone wall with electric fireplace, the original, refinished hardwoods throughout, and the updated modern master bathroom.

The open kitchen is surprisingly spacious and lends itself to entertaining, as does the large backyard deck overlooking the private, fenced-in backyard.

Speaking of the backyard, the listing claims there’s a “storage barn” ‘round back, but in reality it’s just a small storage building tucked away in the far corner of the yard.

The large driveway and detached covered carport certainly provide more than enough parking for both potential buyers and all their friends.

That could be a good thing, given that the home’s proximity to the East Atlanta Village, for most Atlantans, is a bit of a hike at nine-ish blocks.

It’s not entirely clear, though, if that’s why this house remains on the market.

Originally listed for $389,900 in August, the price has undergone three cuts to bring it down to the current ask of $350,000.

That number isn’t out of line with the neighborhood, which makes it all the more surprising it’s still on the market after 148 days.
