With a tenant in place, a new office tower adjacent to Perimeter Mall and Dunwoody MARTA Station will soon begin construction, officials say.
According to developer Trammell Crow, a 16-story, curving glass office tower will soon fill one corner of the mall parking lot, facing Hammond Drive. The building will serve as the new headquarters for national staffing company Insight Global, which is currently based out of neighboring Brookhaven.
The project—to be called Twelve24—will be constructed just across the train platform from the new State Farm corporate campus, a block east of the proposed High Street site.
When completed, it will bring 334,000 square feet of Class A office space and 11,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space facing Hammond Drive. Insight Global will fill about half of the building.
A bridge will connect the building to an existing MARTA parking deck and the station.
The Dunwoody City Council approved the tower’s construction late last year. Initially, only a lower office block was proposed for the site, but the latest plans now include two towers; the Insight Global office, and a 10-story hotel to be developed simultaneously.
Construction is slated to start by this summer, developers say, with work wrapping up in 2020.
The 16-story building is anticipated to house nearly 1,100 office workers.
